She is certified as a strategic planner in higher education, and is experienced in academic and faculty affairs and integrated institutional effectiveness across three institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She conceptualized, recruited collaborators, and led the AGEP-MUS alliance of three state universities (AGEP-MUS = Alliances for Graduate Education and the professoriate &#8211; Massachusetts University System) to support success of minoritized faculty when she was the Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Operations, Finances, and Institutional Effectiveness at Framingham State University, MA. The AGEP-MUS alliance comprised three state universities including Framingham, Bridgewater, and Worcester State Universities to establish a national model for transforming and institutionalizing change to support success of minoritized faculty. She secured funding of $3.25 million from NSF for the alliance. In addition, her regular responsibilities included academic and faculty affairs, institutional effectiveness, and executive responsibility for academic budgets and operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to that, she served as an Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs at Mercy University, NY, where she led strategic planning for Mercy&#8217;s 2025 strategic plan and collaborated with faculty and staff to strengthen the College\u2019s infrastructure for faculty affairs, student academic support, and programs\u2019 accreditation. Prior to joining Mercy University, she served as the founding and closing Dean for the School of Applied Sciences at Mount Ida College, MA where she engaged in various transformations within the institution. Her past faculty appointments include Massachusetts College of Pharmacy &amp; Health Sciences University, and University of New Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>PhD<\/strong> in <strong>Biomedical Sciences \u2013 <\/strong>School of Medicine, The University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, NM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MS<\/strong> in <strong>Pathology <\/strong>\u2013 College of Medicine, Kuwait University, Kuwait<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BS<\/strong> in <strong>Biochemistry<\/strong> with minor Computer Science \u2013 College of Science, Kuwait University, Kuwait<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leadership Education<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HERS Institute at Wellesley College<\/strong> &#8211; A leadership-training institute for women in higher education. She grew up among the Palestinian diaspora population in Kuwait where she finished her Bachelor&#8217;s and Master&#8217;s degrees.
